Purcell was founded in 1974 by Swiss mountain guide, Rudi Gertsch. For the last 44 years, they’ve committed to remaining a small, family-owned operation, now lead by Rudi’s son Jeff (ACMG Certified Ski Guide) and his wife Katie. They’re driven by a commitment to the guiding profession and the life-changing joy of deep powder. With a massive operating area of 2,000 square kilometers, Purcell offers skiers and riders endless fresh tracks and a variety of runs: from high, open alpine faces to those world-famous BC deep trees. Now operating from the base of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, each day takes only one group of skiers and riders into the field, with a dedicated helicopter, two certified guides and lots of vertical. Each day is built around safety and an outstanding client experience. From ski-in/out accommodations on the resort, it's only a short glide to the heli. With packages for one, two or three days, you can fly for whatever your budget or your legs allow.
