Team Epic Racing

An elite, all female American match racing team ranked as 2nd in the world, driven to be number 1.

Epic Racing is an American based female match racing team, led by skipper Stephanie Roble. Their main focus is winning the WIM Series and inspiring women of all ages and abilities to be out on the water.

The 2015 season was the team’s most successful year yet; placing 3rd at the ISAF Women’s Match Race Worlds, 2nd at Lysekil Women’s Match, 1st at Buddy Melges Challenge and 5th at Busan Women’s Mat- ultimately resulting in Epic Racing winning the WIM Series.
They continue to strive for world number 1 and constantly work towards winning the WIM series (again) in the years to come.

The team is made up of a variety of backgrounds, with each member bringing something unique to the table: Steph is a dinghy (small boat) sailor who now specializes in owner driver racing. Maggie is a fierce and fearless competitor with a mix of small (dinghy), big (70ft) and Olympic (49erFX) boat experience. Janel is a sharp and technical dinghy sailor who is now an assistant coach at Georgetown University. Liz is a ball of energy who keeps the team spirit at its highest, always possessing a “can do” attitude. Aimee is the mature voice and aggressor who isn’t scared to put in 100%, even when she is near exhaustion and Meg is the team’s mood keeper and hard worker, determined to accomplish whatever she sets her mind on.

The variety of personalities and skill sets enable the team to work together as a successful unit. They put their achievements down to team work and friendship on the boat. This American, all female team will not stop until they become the world’s number 1.
