Welcome to Norway. A vast Nordic landscape renowned for its beautiful yet harsh winters – the place we call home. For the past 130 years, we’ve been designing innovative products that protects against the extreme elements we’ve grown up with. This year, we offer a new range of collections that draw their inspiration from our heritage, combining highly technical fabrics with progressive Scandinavian design. Welcome to winter 2011.

Arctic Legacy

Arctic Legacy

Norway’s mountainous landscape provides an endless source of inspiration and is an integral part of Helly Hansen’s heritage; this was the starting point and inspiration for The Arctic Legacy collection. This collection is a hybrid line of products; fashion oriented in their design, yet constructed to keep you warm and confident in the coldest and unexpected winter conditions.

OSLO FJORD

OSLO FJORD

The fjords of Norway are close to our heart. They are, after all, our birthplace. This heritage is reflected in our Oslo Fjord collection. Inspired by the Scandinavian marine lifestyle, the collection is designed to allow you to confidently explore the beautiful archipelagos and fjords in superior comfort and style.

Ask & Embla

Ask & Embla

The Ask & Embla collection consists of a tight number of garments where the idea is to combine Scandinavian clean cut and design with rustique, genuine fabrics and details, preferably with a touch of heritage. The result is a modern and highly technical silhouette that works for more than one season.

HYDROPOWER

HYDROPOWER

The Hydropower collection is known for its style, quality and dependability, and is therefore used and loved by sailors and water-sports enthusiasts all over the world. The functionality of the clothes is, of course, the most important aspect. However, it is also necessary for this collection to have a strong modern and fashionable look, as it needs to work just as well on the pier as on the water. Therefore, fabric selection and technical solutions were the foundation of the tech design and I worked with a very strong color scheme inspired by the Norwegian summer storms to create its unique identity.
