H2 Flow Midlayer

Helly Hansen’s Brand-New, Patent-Pending Technology, H2 Flow™, Beautifully Crushes the Existing Paradigms around Temperature Management

OSLO, Norway (Fall/Winter 2012-13) — Helly Hansen has a long history of innovation and first-to-market product solutions that have altered the way the outdoor industry approaches protection, performance, and design. Helly Hansen’s latest innovation —the Hollow Heat Flow technology (H2 FlowTechnology)— is a game changer that will transform the way enthusiasts think about temperature management. It’s a paradigm shift that joins other Helly Hansen firsts, including Flow Down, Helly Tech, LIFA, Pro-Pile, the Three-Layer Principle, and the original HH protective layer from 1877.

The H2 FlowJacket is a central part of Helly Hansen’s Fall/Winter 2012-13 mid-layer program and can be worn as a mid-layer or as a stand-alone jacket. The H2 FlowTechnology stands for “Hollow Heat Flow,” a system that marries insulation that features both positive and negative spaces, and a proprietary approach to air flow regulation. The unique combination of elements allows the wearer to easily regulate their temperature. Helly Hansen’s H2 Flow Technology is mechanical, and allows the wearer to make adjustments based on his or her activity level and external weather conditions.

“Temperature management is at the core of comfort and sustained physical performance. The patent-pending H2 FlowTechnology represents a completely new approach to an age-old dilemma for outdoor enthusiasts — one that will set a new standard for temperature management and performance in a variety of athletes across a broad spectrum of outdoor activities,” said Kristoffer Ulriksen, mid-layer category manager for Helly Hansen. “The H2 FlowJacket delivers that performance in a stealthy, beautiful jacket, as well as a new mid-layer pant intended for skiers and sailors looking for added warmth and versatility.
