OSLO, Norway (Fall/Winter 2011-12) — Helly Hansen’s Ask & Embla luxury apparel collection for men and women redefines style and performance with a blend of the 133-year-old brand’s most progressive designs, fabrications and technologies.
This winter, the luxury collection pays tribute to its namesakes, Norway’s first man and woman, with a sophisticated Scandinavian-influenced collection influenced by more than a century’s worth of exploration. Technical ski jackets to fashionable casual apparel encompass the collection that’s now available through exclusive specialty retailers around the globe.
The Ask & Embla collection is a fusion of Helly’s mountain and fjord heritage, brought to life through highly progressive and fashionable designs for added confidence in all environments. Two of Helly’s most advanced designs come to life in the all-new men’s Ask and women’s Embla Down Jackets. Slanted baffles precisely stitched into the weather resistant exterior fabric hold generous amounts of premium goose down that provide and abundance of warmth. Details like waterproof Pittards leather on the shoulders and a high collar reminiscent of Helly’s nautical roots make the Ask & Embla as much of a conversation piece as a necessity for braving winter weather.
