Embla Sportswear Collection
Description
Helly Hansen W’s Embla Sportswear Collection: An Affair with Nature
OSLO, NORWAY (Spring 2011) -- The Norwegian god Odin created Embla, the first woman, out of a wood at the beginning of time. Beauty has been abundant ever since as displayed through the Scandinavian nation’s forests, fjords and people. Helly Hansen’s fashion designers used this inspiration to combine their technical expertise with progressive Scandinavian design. The result is a collection that brings the serenity and strength of Norway’s inspiring terrain out of the mist and into society through its new Embla sportswear collection for women.
The women’s Embla Raincoat with its clean design lines and slim fit offers a contemporary solution for keeping wet weather and wind at bay. The flattering knee-length shell is detailed with hidden passive vents; an attractive pleated back, front snaps and a hidden storm flap behind an exposed metal front zip for additional protection. The beauty is enhanced with the luxury-grade performance of the shell’s Helly Tech® O2 nylon exterior – the same fabric used in Helly Hansen’s expedition series garments.
Beauty and breathability go hand-in-hand in the Embla Softshell Coat. The buttery, stretchy, knee- length jacket is lightweight and minimalistic yet no details were spared. The slim-fit polyamide coat features a waist tie, hand pockets and a high collar for extra protection.
The Embla Sportswear collection with coordinating tops, tanks, shorts, skirts, and jackets, exemplifies Helly Hansen’s commitment to quality construction and progressive design. Each Embla design will be available through premium fashion retailers in spring and summer 2011.
