One day to go before the Volvo Ocean Race start, Saturday 5th November 2011. The departure of the teams starts at 1150 with Team Sanya leaving the dock third and the race start is at 1400. The fleet race around the bay for one lap before they head off out to sea and next stop, Cape Town!
So how to follow the action: Live coverage and broadcast starts at 1345 and runs until 1445. A live feed will run on www.volvooceanrace.com and a link exists on www.teamsanya.com and a full report with photos will be circulated shortly after race start.
Once they are underway, the status/position of the boats is updated every 3 hours – again both on the event site and the team site. The boats are estimated to reach Cape Town on/around 25th November.
