The Freeride World Tour kicked off this weekend in Sochi, Russia. Leading the competition after Day 1, Aurelien Ducroz had his game plan ready;
"So today i had two options (going big to win by taking big risk or having a solid run with out taking to much risk to be sure to stay on my feats......I chose the second one, i had a solide and strong run without taking to much risk and for only 0,1 point i finished second!!!!!!"
Sverre Liljeqvist from Sweden beat him with only one tenth of a point only - the closest result ever for the Freeride World Tour!
"But anyway it's a really good start of season ,i feel really confident on my skis and the World tour is 4 events not only one!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward for the second step in Squaw Valley (USA)!!!!!!" Aurelien reports - now he's off to the states!
