Fortunate for us, the silver salmon fun had just started in the Copper River Delta. I knew I had a big one on as the big ones don't fight as much in the beginning, giving you the crazy chase more toward the end. Luckily my knot was tied securely and I was able to reel him in (you can tell the males as they have a big pointy nose). There is nothing like fishing in Alaska, being out on a remote river with bears everywhere and chasing huge beautiful rainbows and salmon!"
