Thomas Coville started in New York and crossed the line at Lizard Point in the UK, setting a new singlehanded transatlantic sailing record. Coville made the finish in a total time of 5 days, 19 hours, 29 minutes and 20 seconds. This time beats Francis Joyon's record by several hours, and earns Coville bragging rights as the new man to beat. Helly Hansen has worked closely with Thomas towards this record attempt, and is the proud supplier of all the technical apparel needed to keep Thomas safe and dry during the crossing.
