Helly Hansen, a leading wholesaler and retailer of high performance outdoor apparel, is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager for our North American Distribution Center in Auburn. This position is responsible for the supply chain management of all inbound and outbound shipments within our FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) facility and will work as part of the team forecasting order volume.

Staff Management
 •Oversight and direction of the Warehouse and Distribution Manager and the Inbound Logistics Manager
 •Initiate and monitor yearly performance reviews of all staff (2 shifts during off peak; 3 shifts during peak)
 
Financial Management
 •Establish KPI reporting and expectations for all logistics and distribution functions
 •Manage budget for site (including all international Inbound freight, warehouse cost and North American distribution cost)
 •Negotiate contracts (freight, distribution, building, equipment, legal/HR services, etc.)
 •Serve as the escalation point for Logistics Service Providers and vendors in case of non-compliance
 
Process Management
 •Responsible for all functions from international Purchase Order follow-up to final customer delivery in North America, including Reverse Logistics and E-fulfillment
 •Prioritize and assign logistics tasks and projects
 •Meet with customer representatives to define areas of service improvement or the execution of new service concepts
 •Identify customer requirements and translate these into logistics requirements and specific projects
 •Support North American growth aspirations by identifying and implementing the required logistics infrastructure
 •Align with other functions (Sales, Finance, Customer Service, HR) and Helly Hansen sites to identify areas of improvement and alignment
 •Identify and initiate training needs for the team
 •Identify and monitor compliance areas (labor, Customs, product legislation)
 
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will have:
•A Bachelors degree in operations management or equivalent experience
•At least 7-10 years of experience in international logistics and distribution management, including management of staff
•Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-25% of the time)
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases/ERPs
•The ability to pass a U.S. Customs background check and a drug test

Helly Hansen seeks to strengthen the finance team through the appointment of a Credit Assistant in the Scandinavian Accounting Team as a temporary position. The length of employement would be 1-1,5 year. The position holds a variety of tasks in an exciting industry. Tasks and responsibilities
Contribute to Helly Hansen development by performing accounting activities in an accurate and timely manner.

Experience

80% Execution and Management
