Helly Hansen seeks a Fabric Manager
Helly Hansen is buying and producing garments in Far East and Europe and are developing approximately 80% of their fabrics in-house together with several fabric vendors. To initiate the pre-selections of fabrics/vendors follow up on information concerning fabric standards, technical fabric testing, new developments, and fabric price negotiations we have a fabric team in place and need further support.
This person will be the intermediary between our design & development department in Oslo and our Fabric/garments vendors in FE and Europe and will actively participate in developing new fabrics, follow up on those developments from initial stage to final production, improve routines and procedures related to use of fabrics in the HH world for both Helly Hansen Sport and also Helly Hansen Workwear products.
We are looking for a person who has got:
- Fabric knowledge and education, specifically in technical fabrics.

The applicant should have a technical clothing / fabric / textile chemical education with a degree and preferably at least 2 years of experience in a similar position. Experience in Far East /European production, good knowledge of quality and testing standards, and a good basis of chemical knowledge would be of additional advantage.

Reports To: Paul Aiken, Director of Sales & Marketing
Responsibilities:
- Enter orders as requested by dealers, sales reps, and internal customers
- Work with sales reps to place sample orders and point of sale orders and provide any other assistance regarding their accounts
- Make outbound calls to existing customers to assist sales reps with maintaining those relationships
- Answer inquiries from consumers and dealers regarding locations of purchase, warranties, product information, and inventory status; includes recommending suitable products and upselling
- Follow up on various order issues, including returns, chargebacks, and exceptions
- Assist with special projects as needed (special promotions, mailings, trade show preparation, etc.)
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years of customer service or inside sales experience
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write business letters
- Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and databases)
- The ability to prioritize work and follow tasks through to completion

Helly Hansen is strengthening its finance team through the appointment of a Junior Group Controller. The Junior Group Controlling will assist with financial reporting across Helly Hansen ensuring timely and accurate reporting according to statutory and group requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct monthly consolidation of accounts and present the monthly consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Be a major contributor in the group year end and financial audit processes
• Perform periodical target setting, planning, review and follow-up of costs for HQ functions
• Maintain and develop the Helly Hansen consolidation system
• Contribute to reporting compliance and guide on statutory requirements including vat, duty and tax
• Maintain and document the Helly Hansen transfer pricing methodology including all inter-company agreements
• Manage the portfolio of group insurances
• Maintain, develop and audit internal control procedures
• Assist in developing the portfolio of legal entities in the Helly Hansen Group
• Contribute in projects related to finance, accounting and tax
Requirements:
• Minimum a bachelor but preferably a master's degree in accounting, business or finance
• Solid accounting and finance knowledge with three-to-five years relevant experience from an international group setting preferably also including experience from a leading auditing firm
• Skills to drive and develop finance topics at Helly Hansen by cooperating, influencing and supporting individuals across the organization
• Ability to act operationally within a strategic framework
• Capacity to work under pressure and take on large workloads
• Capabilities in maintaining and developing the group consolidation system
• Reliable, responsible, self going and output oriented with focus on getting the job done despite obstacles, displaying positive energy - starting and finishing the day with the same enthusiasm
• Analytical and structured
• Fluent in English and one Scandinavian language

Tasks and responsibilities

- proficient user of Microsoft office products (emphasis on Word and Excel)
