Position Summary:
The Accountant is responsible to ensure timely and accurate accounting of all journals related to the Scandinavian Retail Stores.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Timely and accurate bookings  of all Daily Settlements
• Follow up with Stores to ensure correct weekly reporting according to processes and policies
• Follow up on Daily Settlements to ensure they are correct and include all necessary documents (e.g. returns, move of goods, deposits etc)
• Handling cost of sales (Retail PRO reports from US) monthly
• Reconcile vouchers (Receiving and Return vouchers and ) on a monthly basis
• Reconciliation Bank accounts on a monthly basis
• Correct periodization of cost
• Work with Retail Manager on process improvements
• Follow up with Store Managers regarding Retail PRO input and financial input
• Monthly revaluation of Cash, AR and AP
• Other ad hoc tasks in finance
• Participate in yearend activities including assistance in audits and reviews with external auditors
• Contribute in continuous improvements of the month end process
• Assist in specific projects according to need and qualifications

Experience:
A blend of formal accounting knowledge and practical accounting experience in various accounting systems.
• Minimum 2 years experience from accounting,
• Degree within accounting and/or financial subjects, relevant experience instead of educational process might be considered
• Experience with various accounting systems preferably including Lawson M3

Personal qualities:
Reliable, accurate, selfgoing and proactive with the communication skills to approach and follow-up others outside the accounting department
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Selfgoing with the ability to take initiative when needed
